Japanese horror movie "Haunted Campus" (ホーンテッド・キャンパス) trailer has been revealed on 18 March 2016. The movie starring AKB48 member Shimazaki Haruka (島崎遥香). The movie will be released on 2 July 2016.


Haunted Campus is adapted from same name horror fiction which won the Japan Horror Story Grand Prize Readers' Award by "Kushiki Riu" (櫛木理宇).

Yagami Shinji (cast by Nakayama Yuma) is a freshman at Setsuetsu University, he possesses an ability to see ghosts, but he would prefer to ignore them. However, the girl Nada Koyomi (cast by Shimazaki Haruka), whom he has a one-sided crush on since high school, has joined an occult research society "Occult Interest Group" (OIG), so he follows her into that society.

Note: Nakayama Yuma is former NMB48 member Yamada Nana's younger brother.

Historical movie "Sanada Juyushi" (真田十勇士) has finished filming, and hold the Crank Up Press Conference on 17 March 2016.



Former AKB48 member Oshima Yuko is cast a a female ninja "Hotaru" (火垂) in the movie, she is childhood playmate of  legendary Ninja "Sarutobi Sasuke" (猿飛佐助) and Kirigakure Saizo (霧隠才蔵). The movies will be released on 22 September 2016.

Note: The movies is adapted from NTV 60th anniversary stage play "Sanada Juyushi" in 2014.

Former NMB48 Team BII member Kadowaki Kanako (門脇佳奈子) will be leading actress of movie "Ai MY" (愛MY). NMB48 member Jonishi Kei (上西恵) will also appear in the movies. It was announced in 8th Okinawa International Movie Festival event on 15 March 2016.



The movie will be released in TV Director's Movie section of 8th Okinawa International Movie Festival.

NMB48 members Yamamoto Sayaka  (山本彩) and Yagura Fuuko (矢倉楓子) will visit Hong Kong for promoting their documentary movie"Dotonbori yo, nakasetekure! DOCUMENTARY of NMB48".


Yamamoto Sayaka  (山本彩) and Yagura Fuuko will participate the event with Funahashi Atsushi in Shatin Town Hall on 3 and 4 April 2016.


NMB48's documentary movie "Dotonbori yo, nakasetekure! DOCUMENTARY of NMB48" (道頓堀よ, 泣かせてくれ! DOCUMENTARY of NMB48) will be show in the 40th Hong Kong International Film Festival (30 March 2016, 3 and 4 April 2016).


Documentary of NMB48 is selected for festival's programme section "I See it My Way" which is for contemporary Asian films.

The live-action movie "The Little Match Girl" (燐寸少女 マッチショウジョ) teaser has been revealed on official web site, the movie will be starring SKE48 Team E member Sato Sumire (佐藤すみれ).



The movie's director will be Uchida Hiroshi (内田浩), with Ishikawa Kitaji (石川北二) penning the script. Hori Pro will produces the movies. and it will be released at 28 May 2016.

The movie is based on same name manga "The Little Match Girl", which is published on manga magazine "Young Ace", by manga artist Suzuki Sanami (鈴木小波).

Japanese mystery movie "Joshiko" (女子高) trailer has been revealed, the movies starring AKB48 member Minegishi Minami (峯岸みなみ), the movie will be released at 9 April 2016.

Former AKB48 member Kawaei Rina (川栄李奈) will cast in Live-Action Death Note Movie, she will cast an original character Aoi Sakura (青井さくら) who is one of Death Note owners.




Kawaei Rina's character Aoi Sakura who seems to be a normal girl, but, actually she is a mass murderer uses Death Note to kill innocent people at random. The movie will be released in Fall 2016.



New Live-Action Death Note movie will be an official sequel to the original “Death Note” movies, is set to take place 10 years after the events of the previous movie "DEATH NOTE the Last name". The Death Gods are once again up to mischief, with 6 Death Notes appearing in the human world, and a special Death Note Task Force is busy at work trying to track down the owners of the deadly notebooks.



Death Note movie is based on the best-selling supernatural manga series "Death Note" written by Ohba Tsugumi and illustrated by Obata Takeshi.

SKE48 member Ishida Anna (石田安奈) will appear on movie "Yume Dokei" (儚時計), the movie will be shown on Nagoya Midland Square Cinema, Nagoya at 18 March 2016.

Former AKB48 member Shinoda Mariko (篠田麻里子) participated Sci-fi live-action movie "Terra Formars" press conference at 10 February 2016.

Shinoda Mariko will cast the character "Oosako Sorae" in the the live-action "Terra Formars" movie and its prequel web drama, the movie will be directed by Japanese filmmaker Miike Takashi (三池崇史). The movie will be released at 29 April 2016.


Moreover, "Terra Formars" Live-Action Prequel web drama "Terra Formars - Aratanaru Kibou" will start streaming via NTT DoCoMo's online-video service dTV on 24 April 2016 five days before the theatrical release.

"Mohican Kokyo ni Kaeru" will come out at Hiroshima first at 26 March 2016, it will be officially released at 9 April 2016.

Movie "Romance" (Round Trip Heart)" starring former AKB48 member Oshima Yuko, the movie is directed and written by Tanada Yuki.


Oshima Yuko cast a train attendant of Romance Car called Hojo Hachiko, one day, she met a movie producer in the train. He happened to read a letter from Hachiko's mother and encouraged Hachiko to visit her mother who Hachiko hasn't met for years, and then they began their journey.

AKB48's short movies collection "les neuf fenêtres" (Romaji: Kokonotsu no Mado, Japanese: 9つの窓) movie trailer has been revealed on MAiDiGi TV official Youtube channel at 3 February 2016.

AKB48 short movies series "AKB shortshorts" project "les neuf fenêtres" will collect 9 x 10-minutes length short films, each short film starring an AKB48 group member, it will be on cinema at 6 February 2016.


9 leading actresses includes AKB48 group members Iriyama Anna, Kizaki Yuria, Ego Yuna, Yokoyama Yui, Kitahara Rie, Miyazawa Sae, Nakanishi Chiyori, Mogi Shinobu and Kodama Haruka.

Movies "Joshiko" is a story of revenge, 6 young women, including Takahashi Katsuki (cast by Minegishi Minami), hold their high school reunion, They are happy to see each other again, but suddenly, a shot rings out and one person dies. They receive a text message from Shirakawa Natsumi who died 7 years ago. The text message asks "who is the criminal?" To figure out the identity of the perpetrator they look back at what happened 7 years ago.
