DiVA new single, first album, live, and DISBAND!

AKB48's sub-unit DiVA will disband this year, it was announced on radio program AKB48 "All Night Nippon" (ANN), in 14 August 2014.

According to ANN, DiVA will release their 4th single on 8 October 2014, the producer is Komuro Tetsuya, and released their first album, then DiVA will disband after a disbandment performance.

DiVA means "singing princess" in Japanese, Diva's "i" means it is still immature, and at the 4th single, "Diva" will be renamed as "DIVA", 4th single with have 4 types, TYPE-C and TYPE-D's coupling song will be remake of  "WOW WAR TONIGHT ～時には起こせよムーヴメント" of "Jungle with t", TYPE-D will be mu-mo limited version. Former AKB48 member Masuda Yuka will be returned at 4th single.

On the radio show, Miyazawa Sae called AKB48 fomer member Oshima Yuko, and Oshima Yuko promised she will write lyric for them.

Back in 2010, AKB48 18th single "Beginner" with a coupling song "泣ける場所" (Nakeru Bashou) performed by 17 members, producer Akimoto Yasushi named this name "DIVA", and then office 48 used that name for new unit "DiVA" and announced it will be renamed as "DIVA" while it is recognized by public.

DiVA was formed with Akimoto Sayaka and Miyazawa Sae on January 10, 2011, and disclosed to public by the all DiVA members at AKB48 Theater on February 27, 2011. The unit member consisted of Akimoto Sayaka (graduated), Miyazawa Sae, Umeda Ayaka and Masuda Yuka (graduated).
