Satoru Umeda was charged with crimes of attacking AKB48 members in Takizawa, Iwate Prefecture last May and violation of gun blade law. Satoru Umeda was sentenced to 6 years prison (demanded 7 years' imprisonment) at 10 February 2015.
At 25 May 2014, Satoru Umeda assaulted AKB48 member Kawaei Rina, Iriyama Anna and a male staff with a saw in a handshake event held at the Apio Convention Hall in Takizawa, Iwate Prefecture.
