The 29th Japan Gold Disc Awards results were announced in 2 March 2015, AKB48 wins Single of Year by their 36th single "Labrador Retriever" at 29th Japan Gold Disc Awards. AKB48 breaks the record in history that wins the awards for five successive years.
AKB48 also wins Album of Year by their 5th Album "Tsugi no Ashiato". The Japan Gold Disc Awards, which were established in 1987, are based on actual CD and DVD sales, it is one of major music awards held annually in Japan.
