AKB48 recently has several gravure contest collaboration project with magazine and 755, those project is to count total 755 watch increase quantity in specific period of time, below are the brief report (up to 18 April 2015)

Interesting. I realized the past few contests have been 1 HKT member and 2 AKB members. Do you think fans are power-viewing for the 1 HKT member while splitting views between the AKB contestants? It's probably not how it works but just a thought I had.
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to see how SKE and NMB fare! Or if one contest was just AKB contestants, just HKT contestants, etc...
um... in my opinion I think it is not about group, it just reflect individual member's popularity.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I find it is interesting UTB contest doesn't pick HKT48 member.
I read the winner is gonna have her own PB, but I wonder a the end how well it is gonna sell, being realistic I doubt whatever girls win those contests will be able to sell more than 20k copies or even less. Anyway, I guess the girls are more than happy to have their own PB regardless of how much it sells.
ReplyDeleteTargets 20,000 copies is too high, normally 8,000 copies is quite good sales figure for publisher and artist.
ReplyDeleteAgree, I think those members will be very happy to have their own photo book.
Its not about group, its an individual battle. All of the HKT members in the contest are overall more popular than their opponents.

Considering there are more AKB fans than HKT, it should be overwhelmingly be in akbs favor but as you can see its not...
I'm not surprised that HKT are winning this. After all, the HKT members included in this competition are their top tier (furthermore, Mio and Madoka are Undergirls in 2014 Sousenkyo) while the AKB members are more like mid-low tier (the highest ranked member among them in 2014 Sousenkyo is Tano Yuka at Next Girls).
