Nogizaka46 will form their first sister group "Toriizaka46" (鳥居坂46), "Toriizaka46" begins recruiting their first generation member from 28 June 2015 until 21 August 2015.
AKB48 group and Nogizaka46 producer Akimoto Yasushi will be producer of "Toriizaka46", and their first target is CD debut, "Toriizaka46" was named after Toriizaka which nearby Zepp Blue Theater where Nogizaka46 Under-Member held their activities, "Toriizaka46" will perform their activities at Zepp Blue Theater (near Toriizaka) in Rappongi, Tokyo.

Man, I bet there will be so many 48's and 46's around the world after 10 years. I bet they're planning to put one in Africa.
ReplyDeleteThat seems a bit.... overlapped, I guess? Two new sister groups (ok, one sister and one 'cousin' group) in the same year might degrade each other audience; similar to having too many summer blockbuster movies at once, better to space them out to have a better audience/profit in the long term.
ReplyDeleteAnother one ....... I wonder if Sony is planning to do a sousenkyo for the now 46 group as well. It seems Akimoto has no problem creating groups to whatever record or agency company ask for.
