AKB48 group has a joint promotion campaign "AKB48 group manatsu no Halloween Party" (AKB48グループ 真夏のハロウィンライブ) with FujiTV project Odaiba Yumetairiku (お台場夢大陸). AKB48 all groups will hold concert on Odaiba Yumetairiku in this summer.

ReplyDeleteIt's too early to start promoting Halloween, over 3 months in advance. I think not even countries that really celebrate it have started to sell its specific merchandise.
Also I'm not sure if Halloween would become something big in Japan; I mean, the commerce has been trying to market Christmas to increase sales there for decades, but until now all they really have are cakes... and KFC Christmas set.

ReplyDeleteBut, isn't it popular? I looked around for a site covering AKB news (in a language I could read) and this one is by far the best, with really detailed and frequent updates. I found some others, but they cover only very general news... like having only 5 updates since the Sousenkyo, only 3 of them being something you could call 'news'.
I don't even know how do you gather all these details, like people changing agencies, photos of private parties, who will appear on magazines/dramas/shows/TV...
" Also I'm not sure if Halloween would become something big in Japan" Halloween has been getting quite popular in Japan around two years ago, last year there were several news reporting people either at Shibuya or Tokyo Disneyland celebrating it.

AKB48Wrapup takes forever to bring the latest news, and Stage48 is good, but it is hard to find things there, you have take some time to dig thru all their forums. Thank you, thank you for having this site!
