AKB48 general manager Takahashi Minami (高橋みなみ) will be CENTER of AKB48 upcoming 42nd single, it will be her last AKB48 single, the 42nd single will be released on 9 December 2015.
It was announced in handshake event at 25 October 2015

Glad to hear that she will be center for her last singles. Can't wait to hear the preview (if I could, since a lot of 48family channels blocks their videos in the US, so ugh how will i listen to the new songs? Hopefully it will change by then :) )

ReplyDeleteAs for 42nd single the senbatsu members were almost the same only Annin and Renacchi not senbatsu member (Kojiharu & Miichan exception).

ReplyDeleteWell tbh i mean Kojiharu and Minegishi kinda HAVE to be there for Takamina's last single. They're the ones remaining from the iconic 1st gen.
Tomu ranked higher than both Annin (i know she didnt participate the last senbatsu sousenkyo, but she was 20th in 2014) and Rena (28th) in the last sousenkyo I'm just wondering why the management didnt pick her instead of say, Yuria.

Erm akb management do favour Annin and Renacchi... Tomu were good but she need more opportunities.
Annin, Renacchi, and Yuria have been management favorites since they joined either AKB or SKE, which is why the would be picked over girl like Tano or Tomu.

Takamina is the center. But a few months ago Renacchi made her own sousenkyou, just for fun... and Akimoto-san thought it was funny and said "hey, let's do it". So now the 2nd song on this single (the main song will be centered by Takamina) will be for Renacchi's election. She herself is in the senbatsu, but not as center, that will be Tanaka "The BOSS" Natsumi.

Justice finally made! Takamina as Center! Sorry for the Tano Yuka fans (she is not in senbatsu anyway), and Tomu. Somehow, it seems weird not seen Haruppi in the current senbatsu (yes, I know she missed it by one spot). People need to realize that there is the "fan-voted senbatsu", and then the "management-ordered senbatsu". Just because some fans go crazy and upvote a certain girl, it does not necessarily mean it is good for the business as a whole. And finally, Natsumikan as center! I am so happy for The Boss.
