AKB48 first generation member Minegishi Minami (峯岸みなみ) announced the 7th AKB48 General Election will be her last opportunity to be selection member.
Minegishi Minami said she thought about giving up this General Election, she felt upset she is unable to be selection member, but she found she has no excuse not to participate, and she also thought some people may think "Minegishi Minami does not participate because she is unsure to be selection member", therefore she does not allow herself giving up.
Moreover Minegishi Minami said this year's General Election is her only chance to be one of selection members, and being selection member is her last wish, and then she analysed "Some of top ranking member like Kojima Haruna announced they will not participated the General Election, therefore it will have 5 places to fill". She said she may not be real happy to be the selection members without competing, and she is unsure if she will get the high ranking, but she really want to be a selection member again.

ReplyDeleteMiichan is Team K captain -- a huge promotion, given that the former Team K captain (Yuihan) is taking Takamina's place as general manager. I'm torn between helping Yukirin take center and helping Miichan get back into senbatsu. I'm glad she was media senbatsu all year in any case.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Miichan back into Senbatsu, she and Kojima are both probably going to announce their graduation before the 10th anniversary. With Takamina already leaving this year she is considered one of the favorites to take the top spot so it would be a great way to send off the 1st gen members.

ReplyDeleteShe was in rank 22 last year. Even if no one surpasses her. Matsui Rena, Kojima Haruna, Miyazawa Sae, Ikoma Rina and Kawaei Rina are all out... so.. if no one surpasses her, she'll end up in place 17.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she has much chance of surpassing anyone above her, and those who were in 23rd-27th place last year all have a pretty good chance of surpassing her.

ReplyDeleteAndrew ferris what do you mean Miyazawa Sae is out? Last I read she was participating in the SSK. Miichan would have to surpass two current members running not one.

ReplyDeleteI know I am biased in this issue, since Miichan has always been my kami-oshi.... but I really, really, REALLY think it is a bit unfair how Minegishi-san has been shunned to obscurity. She has always been a great MC, with good talking skills and self-confidence to stand in the showbiz in general, just look at all the old variety stuff like Shukan AKB or the old episodes of AKBingo; she had a lot of jobs as MC of entire episodes or being co-host of many skits and corners.
ReplyDeleteBut after the 2013 scandal.... her video stunt was a good play to avoid been dismissed right away (if the staff tried to fire her the world media would burn AKB to the ground, and bring marshmallows to roast Aki-P in particular), but I think they never forgot how she cornered them like that.
Re: Guilherme Quintao, just my opinion, AKS has treated Miichan very well.
ReplyDeleteGuildherme is still one of favorites in 48G, but she leaks alot exposure the last 2 years. She barely was in any Center/shining position(like No3b single promotion, photo booklet, big CM campaign etc), where she could earn more fans(with her great singing voice -_- why everyone forgets about it, it's so warm and touching). Young members, who were pushed/grabbed their chances have outshone her. Like Saho, Nana and Mako :)
ReplyDeleteMiichan couldn't have been fired in first place after her scandal, because the only think Takamina loves more than AKB is Atsuko and Minegishi! -_- She should have told her the plan and they would have found a better way out of it. Let's vote for her 3x times and hope that she comes back into Senbatsu.
And yeah, Paul seems to be the admin, she always posts everything. :D
last year, Miichan's fan shared her vote to team 4 membersso much and akb48 fan vote went to Kawaei and Iriyama because of the attack, so i think Miichan wota will do their best for her since this is the last chance for both Miichan and her fans. this year, i will buy more votes for her although it's not much. She is the only one i love in AKB48 right now. Hope she the best.
ReplyDeleteAnd i forgot something that in Kojiharu's handshakes recently, she asked her fan may vote for Miichan. I always know that Kojiharu's oshi is Miichan but it still warm me up because of their relationship. Hope some fans of Kojiharu shares their votes for Miichan since she will not participate this time.
