SKE48 top member Matsui Rena (松井玲奈) announced her graduation at radio show "ANN" at 11 June 2015, she will graduate from the group at the end of August.
Matsui Rena said she had wanted to announce her graduation on theatre or concert, but she hopes she want to tell the fans her feeling in 2 hours show.
She said she had considered her graduation two years ago, and prepared it this years.
Matsui Rena said her dream to be an actress, and walk the road she want to, not being an idol Matsui Rena but an independent being Matsui Rena. Then she wants to see the SKE without her. Matsui Rena wishes young members will make SKE48 successful after her graduation.
She said it will be a concert in Nagoya at end of August, and she will hold the event other than handshake event, she promises she will prepare a farewell event for fans.

ReplyDeleteAlthough it's understandable. She's one of the most prominent player, yet she's always second behind Jurina, even though she beat her once in the 3rd SSK. What's wrong with the management actually?!
But there's nothing we can do about it, Rena has decided to take a further step. And I believe she will succeed.
I only wish that she will become a solo center for her last single, her graduation song be featured in AKB48 single, and there will be special shows or events just like Yamada Nana's.

My breaking has been breaking hearing all these articles/ posts ever since the rumor yesterday. But boy never imagine it to be this fast of her to graduate. Always wanted to meet her and all the other members and my wish would had been granted next yr but now she is going to be gone. Sigh, I still wish her luck in the future and would still support her no matter what path she take.

"this fast of her to graduate"? She has been in it for 7 years, I wouldn't describe it as "fast" or "short", in terms of an Idol career. Seems about normal.

T.T // T.T // T.T oh no… *sniff* I clearly remember when I started enjoying AKB48, there were tons of members and it was very hard for me to pick my favorite one (i still haven't decided haha it's merely impossible, so many amazing people there…) but i do remember that Matsui Rena caught my eye instantly, and since then i really liked every single appearance of hers and thanks to her SKE48 became one of my fav subunits. This is very harmful to read, just as much as Takahashi… but i wish her the best best in this world, she has worked so hard for making a lovely subunit and i'm gonna miss her too much. ah, Matsui i wish you the best, i will always remember you with that sweet kawaii face and like the girl i may wanna become in a future, she was the kind of person i wanted to be friends with haha. Stay cool Rena, your did a great job, many surprises and happy moments are awaiting. Love you you you -- chu chu <3

If Takamina is AKB then Rena is SKE....IMO

So probably around the time Maeda graduated she also thought of doing so.
